About Innodrive

What does Innodrive do?

Innodrive is a consultancy that applies AI to the business and engineering workflows inside complex organisations, with a focus on engineering-intensive industries.

We map how a workflow works today, find where intelligence changes the outcome, and implement the result: AI strategy, AI agents, automation and process transformation. We also run market and AI research, and deliver BIM & MEP engineering services.

Who leads Innodrive?

Innodrive was founded and is led by Vijay Namperumal.

His background spans engineering, strategy, research and AI transformation, the four disciplines the company is built around.

Which industries does Innodrive work with?

Innodrive works mainly with construction / AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) and with manufacturing, including automotive engineering.

Construction is the lead industry: projects where owners, designers, engineers, contractors and authorities coordinate through models, drawings, RFIs and submittals. In manufacturing the focus is the product lifecycle, from requirements through design, test, validation and quality.

Does Innodrive build its own products?

Innodrive works through services today and is building toward its own intellectual property and products.

Services keep the team close to the problems clients actually face; the knowledge and methods developed there are intended to become proprietary systems and products over time.

Services

Where should a company start with AI?

Most companies should start with an AI Readiness Assessment, which shows where AI creates value, which processes suit it, and what to do first.

It assesses your processes, systems and data, identifies and evaluates AI opportunities, and prioritises what to build first. You receive an AI opportunity landscape, a process and workflow assessment, a readiness assessment, prioritised use cases and an initial implementation roadmap.

What AI services does Innodrive offer?

Innodrive offers six AI services: AI Readiness Assessment, AI Strategy, AI Agent Development, AI Automation, Process Transformation and Custom AI Solutions.

Each can be carried through to a working system in operation: solution development, system integration, pilot deployment, operationalisation and scaling.

What does AI agent development at Innodrive involve?

Innodrive designs and builds AI agents for knowledge and workflow tasks where people search, read, check and draft across documents and systems.

The work defines the task and its boundaries, designs the agent with its tools and human review points, then builds, evaluates and pilots it. The result is a working agent connected to your knowledge sources, with evaluation results and clearly defined human decisions.

What research services does Innodrive offer?

Innodrive offers four research services: Strategic Research, User Research, AI Research, and Domain-Specific AI Model Research.

They turn market, customer, competitor and technology questions into structured evidence, including whether AI models are capable and suitable for a specific domain.

What BIM and MEP engineering services does Innodrive offer?

Innodrive provides BIM modelling, BIM coordination and MEP engineering for construction and infrastructure projects, with models from LoD 100 to 500.

This includes architectural, structural and MEP BIM, scan to BIM, as-built models, clash detection and coordination, and MEP design for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire-fighting systems. Work references standards including ISO 19650, IPC, UPC and NFPA, using tools such as Revit, Navisworks and Revizto.

Work and research

What research does Innodrive publish?

Innodrive publishes research in four streams: research publications, white papers, The Signal and case studies.

Publications report empirical research such as how AI agents respond to behavioural cues. White papers analyse industry workflows, starting with the series AI in Construction Workflows. The Signal is a weekly essay. Case studies show research translated into practice.

What is The Signal?

The Signal is Innodrive's weekly essay on AI, behavioural economics and how work and commerce are changing.

It shares perspectives and observations from the people researching and building at Innodrive.

Working with Innodrive

Can international clients contract with Innodrive through Upwork?

Yes. If you prefer, especially as an international client, you can engage Innodrive through Upwork, which then manages the contract, invoicing and payments under Upwork's terms.

Upwork supports fixed-price contracts with milestone funding and hourly contracts, which some clients find simpler for cross-border work. Engagements that begin on Upwork stay on Upwork for their whole duration, in line with Upwork's Terms of Service. Direct contracts with Innodrive remain available for clients who do not use Upwork. Upwork is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with Innodrive.

How does Innodrive handle the data I submit on its website?

Innodrive stores only what you submit in its forms, uses it to reply to you, and deletes unconverted enquiries after 24 months.

The website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and stores a one-way hash of your IP address rather than the address itself. You can ask for your data to be shown, corrected or erased at info@innodrive.in.
